Sometimes it is necessary to provide a partial or full refund of a transaction. Below are the steps to accomplish this:
Transactions
Locate the transaction that needs to be refunded. You can do this several ways:
- By clicking on “Transactions” at the top of the screen, then search for the account holder by name
- Use the Universal Search box at the top of the screen and type the first or last name of the account holder and hit Return.
- Click on “Manage Transaction” in the side menu.
Either of these options will bring you to Transaction History for the account holder. From here you can locate the “Reconciled” transaction that you need to refund and click the “pencil” action icon to Edit this transaction.
After you click the Edit icon you will view the details of the transaction and what actions are available. Click [Refund] to enter the refund amount:
You can now refund any amount up to the full amount of the transaction. Enter the refund amount and a reason for the refund. The refund reason will be visible in reporting for future reference. Confirm your refund and click [Submit].
